How does this formula work?

In lab and animal studies, MOTS-C changes signals that help muscles respond when energy is in short supply. This may help explain its role in exercise.

What does the research show?

A 2021 study found better physical performance in mice given MOTS-C. It also found that exercise raised natural MOTS-C levels in people. The people were not given MOTS-C as a drug.

  • An exercise signal worth studying

    Animal study + human measurements · 2021

MOTS-C treatment improved physical performance in mice of different ages. In people, exercise raised the body’s own MOTS-C levels. This does not show that a MOTS-C injection improves human fitness or lifespan.

Study results are not a promise of personal results. Research on one formula or route does not establish the same results for another.

What should I know about safety?

MOTS-C is not FDA-approved. Benefits, dose, and long-term risks of treatment in people are not established.

What your clinician checks

  • Sleep, nutrition, training, and other causes of low energy
  • Your blood sugar, heart, kidney, liver, and cancer history
  • Clear fitness goals and a date to review progress

Human safety data are limited, especially with long-term use. Shots can cause pain, infection, or reactions to impurities. Get medical help for fever, major swelling, trouble breathing, or a worsening injury.

Compounded means a pharmacy makes a custom formula; compounded medicines are not FDA-approved. Off-label means a medicine is used in a way its FDA approval does not cover. Your clinician explains the exact product, risks and alternatives before treatment.

Which active ingredients are listed for this program?

MOTS-C. Your dispensing pharmacy confirms the final prescription label and any inactive ingredients.

Is MOTS-C an exercise replacement?

No. The research looks at exercise-related signals. It does not show that injections replace training or improve fitness in people.

Has it been shown to extend life?

No human trial has established that benefit. Results from aging mice can guide research, but they do not tell us how long a person will live.

Which format does this program use?

This program uses injection. Other formulations have their own program pages.

How would I use it?

Follow the directions provided with your prescription. Your clinician and dispensing pharmacy confirm the dose, preparation, storage and follow-up. The product image is not a dosing guide.
